Summary: We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee multiple sites, programs, and community events. This role involves managing the In-Home Parenting Program, supervising a diverse team, and ensuring the successful execution of various parenting services. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with experience in trauma-informed management, program coordination, and team development.
Role Assignment: The In-Home Parenting Program Manager oversees the staff and operations of the In-Home Parenting Program of Family Services and provides leadership and vision in a trauma-informed manner. The responsibilities include In-Home Parenting, the Goshen Family Center, and food and diaper distributions. This position also coordinates SafeCare, and Parenting Wisely services and training throughout Tulare County. This manager will split their time between the Douglas Campus and the Goshen Family Center which will require some travel throughout Tulare County and outside Tulare County as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Supervision:
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Plan and lead staff meetings and in-house training sessions.
Provide strategic direction to the team to ensure program goals are met.
- Program & Operations Management:
- Oversee In-Home Parenting, Goshen Family Center, food and diaper distributions, SafeCare, and Parenting Wisely programs.
- Monitor operations to ensure smooth functioning and compliance with organizational goals.
- Analyze risks and enforce safety standards.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the liaison to funding sources, community partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and site reviews, and manage program/MOU development.
Manager - Work closely with the finance department to manage departmental budgets.
• Evaluation & Reporting: - Implement program evaluation and consumer satisfaction processes.
- Compile and report on evaluation outcomes.
- Prepare quarterly and annual program reports.
• Administrative Tasks: - Maintain case files, databases, and program reports.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, and database usage policies.
- Review policies, procedures, and curricula for compliance with best practices.
• On-Call & Support: - Provide on-call support to staff and ensure adherence to agency protocols.
- Participate in agency-wide strategic planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
• Education:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, or equivalent leadership experience (4+ years of management experience may substitute for formal education).
• Experience: - Minimum of one year of experience in supervision, staff training, or management.
- Knowledge of social service systems, family court processes, and crisis intervention.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online platforms.
• Additional Requirements: - Access to reliable transportation.
- Clearance from the Department of Justice Criminal Record Offender Information database.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Environment: Office setting with occasional travel to various locations; exposure to noise, dust, and stressful situations.
• Physical: Requires ability to sit for long periods, stand briefly, climb stairs, and operate office equipment.
• Vision/Hearing: Normal vision and hearing range, with or without correction.
