Our mission is to help children, adults, and families heal from violence and thrive in healthy relationships.

News & Events

Starting on Monday, October 5, Family Services will begin gradually resuming in-person services and opening each of its sites to the public for regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. A partir del lunes 5 de octubre, Family Services comenzará a reanudar gradualmente los servicios en persona y a abrir cada una de sus oficinas al público durante el horario habitual de lunes a viernes de 8am a 5pm.

Over the past 30 years, research has established a clear link between domestic violence, child abuse, and animal abuse. For victims of domestic violence, finding a safe place for their pet can often mean the difference between staying in an abusive environment or seeking safety at a domestic violence shelter like Karen's House. Family Services is partnering with the Valley Oak SPCA to change that. With temporary shelter and vet care available for their pet, these victims can become survivors with the goal of reuniting with their animal as they pursue a new life of safety and security.

Family Services is looking for volunteers to join our dedicated team of crisis counselors. We provide 40-hour certification training so you'll be ready to help survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault find safety and hope. Training starts in October!
