Summary: We are looking for a motivated, organized part-time Warehouse Assistant to join our Facilities team. The role involves cleaning Family Services facilities, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, processing inventory, and assisting with food and goods distribution. The ideal candidate has experience in janitorial work, is comfortable working on their feet, and is focused on meeting program needs. The goal is to keep Family Services’ facilities clean, safe, and hazard-free.
Responsibilities:
Clean FSTC offices weekly, including vacuuming, mopping, restocking, and trash removal.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Assist with food and goods distribution.
- Move and set up equipment and furniture.
- Safely hook up and pull a trailer.
- Operate vehicles to transport or store inventory.
- Assist in maintaining the agency's fleet of vehicles.
- Complete administrative duties and attend mandatory meetings.
- Ensure safety by removing hazards from workspaces.
- Troubleshoot minor repairs and maintenance.
- Support event setup, breakdown, and operation.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in maintaining relationships with donors and partners.
- Assist with audits and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Safely operate tools and equipment.
- Attend community meetings as needed.
- Manage donations and assist in distribution.
- Adhere to HIPAA, confidentiality, and agency policies.
- Perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor or executive team.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior janitorial, inventory control, food distribution, vehicle maintenance, and property management experience preferred.
- Transportation: Valid CA Driver’s License and auto insurance. Must confidently operate trucks, trailers, and vans.
- Additional Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age and receive DOJ background clearance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), driving, and using tools.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including exposure to loud noise, outdoor elements, chemicals, and changing temperatures.
