Summary: We are looking for a well-organized and motivated Coordinator for our agency. Coordinators are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating different programs. They must have an excellent understanding of how to manage their projects with strict deadlines while staying within budget constraints by utilizing resources effectively. The Coordinator will assist with training new staff. The Coordinator will be responsible for the smooth operation of the program and working in collaboration with team members to achieve common program goals.


Role Assignment: This is a full-time position working from the Porterville office with some weekends and evenings. The current assignment is to conduct intakes for new cases and schedule their visits. The assignment will also include helping the Program Manager complete the monthly schedule and reports, and attending monthly meetings with funding agencies. Part of the assignment will include creating and updating files in FSTC’s client database software. The coordinator will cover a parenting class virtually via Zoom once a week. This position will require some travel throughout Tulare County as needed.



  • Greet clients/donors/visitors in a friendly and professional manner and assist them in connecting with the appropriate staff person.
  • Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate individuals or take messages as needed.  Answer general questions regarding FSTC and refer to essential community resources as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with appropriate staff regarding the completion of projects and any needs for additional work.
  • May assist with grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
  • Communicate any problems or concerns with group members or group dynamics to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
  • Adherence to policies related to HIPAA, confidentiality, information sharing, and appropriate use of agency client database.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to self, co-workers, and clients.


  • Education: An Associate of Arts degree, certification from a business college or vocational school, or minimum two-year work or volunteer experience that demonstrates relevance to the job duties.
  • Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, word-processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphics required. 
  • Transportation: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, availability of auto for business use, and minimal auto insurance as required by law.
  • Additional Requirements:  Must be bondable.  Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice Criminal Record Offender Information database. Must be at least 21 years of age.



  • Environment: Standard office setting; occasional travel from site to site; occasional exposure to noise, dust, and fumes; stressful calls/situations.
  • Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and field environment including travel to various locations; sitting for prolonged periods; standing for brief periods; climbing 3-5 stairs; operating office equipment including a computer keyboard.
  • Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents and to operate the equipment.
  • Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess the ability to understand and appreciate diversity, and to be sensitive to different experiences and cultures. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments. Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events. Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
