Summary: We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to organize and coordinate programs. You will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. You will also oversee the progress of operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing a staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics. The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall administrative management to Supervised Visitation and Parenting Education Programs.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate Visit Supervisors and Parenting Class Instructors.
- Plan and facilitate staff meetings and in-house training.
- Act as agency liaison/representative to funding sources, collaborative groups, referral sources, attorneys, and program partners to include problem-solving, attendance at meetings and conferences, site visits and reviews, and program and MOU development.
- Ensure program evaluation or consumer satisfaction processes are in place. Compile and report on evaluation outcome data or information.
- Analyze risks and take actions to maintain safety standards
- Maintain files, and databases, and complete and submit program reports as required. Review case documentation, and prepare and submit individual Court Reports as required.
- Provide on-call support and direction for staff in accordance with agency protocols.
- Act as a member of the agency management team, and attend management meetings, agency events, and Board meetings. Participate in overall agency strategic planning and decision-making.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities:
- Works with community partners to maximize assistance for clients.
- Works directly with the finance department to manage the budget for the department.
- Must demonstrate compassion, especially when staff or clients are experiencing complex issues or in crisis.
- Must demonstrate cultural competence, to understand and value clients’ unique values and perspectives.
- Prepare required quarterly and annual reports.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner to avoid injury to self and others.
- Adherence to policies related to HIPAA, confidentiality, information sharing, and appropriate use of the agency-client database.
- Review policies, procedures, and curriculums annually to ensure compliance with mandated guidelines and/or best practices.
- Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in social work/similar field or two years of leadership experience and an Associate’s degree in social work or a similar field. Four years of progressively responsible leadership experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Preferably with at least five direct reports or more.
- Experience: Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Minimum one-year previous supervision, staff training, or management experience. Awareness of community social service systems and family court processes. Knowledge of social work and counseling practices and techniques, including crisis prevention and intervention. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite & ability to work on online platforms.
- Transportation: California Driver’s License, availability of automobile for business use, and at least minimum auto liability insurance as required by law.
- Additional Requirement: Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice Criminal Record Offender Information database. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Environment: Standard office and client residence setting; occasional travel from site to site; occasional exposure to the sun, moderate heat, noise, dust, and fumes; stressful calls/situations. Requires the kind of teamwork, supervision, and personal interaction, that cannot be had in a home office situation; therefore, regular and predictable on-site attendance is a job requirement.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and field environment including occasional travel to various locations; sit for prolonged periods; stand for brief periods; climb 3-5 stairs; operate modern office equipment. Work requires lifting, stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and other physical exertion. Lift up to 25 lbs.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents and to operate the equipment.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
