Domestic Violence Services
Family Services provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. Using a holistic approach, we provide treatment to individuals impacted by domestic violence on all levels, so that the entire family may have an opportunity to heal.
Our domestic violence crisis hotline (559-732- 5941 or 800-448- 2044) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Family Services’ crisis counselors can simply listen or they can provide callers with information about how to connect to resources including shelters, legal assistance, support groups, and counseling. Hotline counselors also provide education about domestic violence and help victims to create a safety plan.
Our 33-bed emergency shelter, Karen’s House, offers confidential shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services to male and female victims of domestic violence and their children at no charge while they work to reestablish their lives in a supportive environment.
